VACCINE MAITRI

News: India has suspended the Vaccine Maitri program till july.

About Vaccine Maitri:

• It is India's flagship programme for vaccine diplomacy, it means the use of vaccines in order to increase a country’s diplomatic relationship with  other countries. 

• Under this programme, India will supply Made-in-India COVID-19 vaccines to its neighboring countries and also to its key partner countries under its Neighborhood First policy. 

• Neighbouring countries including  Bhutan and Maldives will get it first and then Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Seychelles will get it.
