NEW NAMING SYSTEM OF VIRUS VARIANTS

The World Health Organisation unveiled a new system of naming of Coronavirus variants just like hurricanes are named. 

This is to prevent stigmatising countries who are revealing their result of genome sequencing publicly.

Further, it will not hamper the Research and development activity of the virus.

 It will be easier for the common men/women to remember the names of the variants.

Till now, these variants worldwide are named as per their lineage.
