EXTRADITION POLICY OF U.K.

NEWS:

          The  Home Department of the United Kingdom has approved the extradition of diamond merchant Nirav Modi. He is accused for a fraud of ₹13,758 crore in Punjab National Bank (PNB).

The process further:

• Now the accused has a  legal recourse: he can approach the U.K. High Court within 14 days to seek permission for moving an appeal against the Secretary of State’s decision.

• If he doesn’t do so, he shall be extradited to India in a time span of 28 days.
