EXTRADITION POLICY OF U.K.
The Home Department of the United Kingdom has approved the extradition of diamond merchant Nirav Modi. He is accused for a fraud of ₹13,758 crore in Punjab National Bank (PNB).
The process further:
Now the accused has a legal recourse: he can approach the U.K. High Court within 14 days to seek permission for moving an appeal against the Secretary of State’s decision.
If he doesn’t do so, he shall be extradited to India in a time span of 28 days.
