CHINA-SRI LANKA STRATEGIC TIES

News: China and Srilanka vowed to enhance cooperation in all sectors, including defence.

Statement: 

• Srilanka Said they are pursuing independent foreign policy. Both of the countries will put effort to strengthen coordination and safeguard regional peace and tranquillity.

• Srilanka further targeted Quad meeting by saying if it is targeted economic rise, they have no issues.

Agreements:

• Chinese delegation signed the “ Military Assistance Protocol” with Srilanka.
